About us

Birmingham Peoples Centre is a not-for-profit organisation that provides employment advice to people experiencing work related problems. We assist people who are employed or if they have been dismissed. We only act for employees. The issues we advise on include; raising a grievance, preparing for a disciplinary hearing, discrimination in the work place, failure to pay wages, unfair dismissal, the potential value of a claim and settlement agreements. We can provide initial advice over the phone, by email or in person. The Centre undertakes casework on behalf of clients and provides representation at the Employment Tribunal.

Our services are free but to help us meet our expenses we ask that clients consider making a donation. If you would like to discuss an employment issue, or you would like to find out more about the services we offer, please contact us.

Birmingham Peoples Centre is managed by Trevor Allsopp, our In-House Employment Solicitor. Trevor qualified as a solicitor in 2012 whilst working at the Birmingham Law Centre as an employment caseworker.
